Wedding DJ Business / Master of Ceremonies - Arizona Wedding DJ
I was born in a small southern suburb of Chicago, IL, home of the best sports teams: "Chicago Cubs", "Chicago Bears", "Chicago Bulls", and "Chicago Blackhawks".
My parents: Michael and Diana Rita are perfect examples of true Italian parents. They constantly put their children's lives before theirs. My father found his niche in the commercial real estate industry where he has been in over 30 years. My mother Diana, like numerous other family members, saw her passion in the hair salon business. My mother's life was cut short when she was diagnosed with cancer. She suffered for over three years and went into heaven on May 8, 1989 at 11:55 P.M. In her dedication, I named my company after her.
There were 3 kids in the Rita household: Mike, Chris, and Melissa. From early childhood we grew up being really close especially after we lost our mother. We look to each other for all the support. I cannot forget to mention some of my other family members who made it possible for my brother, my sister, and myself who we are today. They are Uncle Ray Ray, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Dave, Aunt Tina, and Grandma and Grandpa Rita, the bread and butter of our family.
I got into the DJ business at a young age. From the time I can remember I had always looked up to my Uncle Ray Ray. Whatever he had his hands in I always wanted to do the same. Uncle Ray Ray had his own DJ company as well. I remember always asking him if I could go with him to all or some of his events. Due to the nature of some of his events he wasn't allowed to bring me. As I got older he brought me to more and showed me the ins and outs of the business. By the time I was 16 I had started to master all genres of music, learning how to read a crowd, and become the master of ceremonies.
I had left home at the age of 18 to enlist in the United States Air Force. Soon after making Arizona my permanent resident state I looked to fulfill one of dreams which was finish my college degree. I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Marketing.
Immediately after graduating from college I knew it was time to start my own business. That is when DMR Entertainment was created. For those of you who are wondering what the DMR stands for, in memory of my mother (Diana Marie Rita). My parents brought us up in a home to where we, as kids, felt we could accomplish anything we set our mind to. Determination and focus were the tools we could use to build our dreams. I have built something that I am very proud of and I am not done yet.
It is my personal goal to be the number one wedding DJ in the state of Arizona and be considered you and your families favorite DJ!
